A paintball field can be an ideal setting for a few rounds of play, whether you want to play outdoors or inside. For most paintball enthusiasts, outdoor game play is the only way to go, as it is closer to most actual combat situations. However, when it is 100 degrees outside and you just want to go have a little fun, indoor fields can be a good alternative.

The original paintball field was a section of forest in New Hampshire, and today it is still mostly an outdoor activity. The great thing about playing outside is that simply playing in a new location can alter the terrain, and therefore the strategy. This is a great way to simulate the different types of combat terrain that soldiers often find themselves having to contend with.

In recent years, the indoor paintball field has started popping up in communities all around the country. The advantage of playing indoor is that game play is done in a climate-controlled environment, making it possible to play even when the weather outside is not cooperating. These fields often include a store from which you can buy paintballs, guns, and protective equipment as well.
